The Expat Club was launched at the Liquid Lounge, in Mumbai on Wednesday, 7 November 2001 by Sylvia Cofer, former President of the American Women's Club and wife of former P&G MD Gary Cofer at a well attended evening function.

The Writer Expat Club program offers members privileges in dining, shopping, travel amongst other benefits. Apart from this, it is also a loyalty program that offers Value Points to members using their membership at affiliated establishments, which can be exchanged for exciting rewards. It also offers the members a complete assurance on quality services purchased.

The program now successfully launched in Mumbai, shall continue its process to grow in the cities of Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata.

The basic objectives of the program are as follows :

• To promote a closer relationship within the different expatriate communities and to help the new Expatriates to navigate through their new environment with an experience of India's rich culture and heritage.
• To offer members attractive discounts at premium establishments in Mumbai.
• To offer exclusive promotions to members.
• To have periodic social & cultural events exclusively for members, mainly focused on India's rich culture.
